Travel Bucket List

I haven't been everywhere but it's on my list susan sontag

Like any good sufferer of wanderlust, I have an extensive travel bucket list. That said, given the chance to visit a new place, I’d need a pretty insane reason to turn it down. That’s why I love the quote above; when people ask me what are the places I want to travel to next, I typically reply with, “EVERYWHERE!”

But, if I’m being forced to be realistic, these are the experiences I’m prioritizing:

  1. Hike in Scotland and the Isle of Skye
  2. Run through Hyde Park in London
  3. Walk along the Great Wall of China
  4. See koalas and kangaroo in Australia
  5. Do yoga in Bali
  6. Swim in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland
  7. See the sunset in Hawaii
  8. Explore fairytale lakes in Slovenia & Croatia
  9. Drink wine and eat pasta in Italy
  10. Stand beneath the Eiffel Tower in Paris
  11. Experience the Northern Lights in Norway
  12. Spend time in Montreal and Quebec
  13. Go to the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020?!)
  14. Finish the SeaWheeze Half Marathon in Vancouver, British Columbia
  15. Trek through the Patagonia in Chile and Argentina
  16. Road trip through Nova Scotia with my mom and grandmother
  17. Swim with the pigs in the Bahamas
  18. Relax on the beaches of Turks and Caicos
  19. Complete all the World Major Marathons (New York, Chicago, Boston, London, Tokyo, Berlin)
  20. Climb Machu Picchu in Peru
  21. Cruise around the Galápagos Islands
  22. Make my way to the remote Easter Island
  23. Stand on the edge of the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland
  24. Road trip through the National Parks, especially Antelope Canyon, in the Southwestern U.S.
  25. Run part of the original marathon course in Greece, then chill in the islands
  26. Visit the towns in Ireland where my family is from
  27. Spend a long weekend getting active in Rio de Janeiro
  28. Sit in the hot springs outside of Budapest
  29. Return to Iceland with the boyfriend
  30. Drive US1 through Big Sur
  31. See the Giants Causeway in Ireland
  32. Visit all 50 of the United States (priorities: Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Montana, Maine)
  33. Take a solo trip

Other countries on my list are: Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, France (I’ve only been to Paris so far), South Africa, Egypt, Thailand, Vietnam, New Zealand, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Belize, and Colombia.
